(Chicago/South Florida, June 2026): From a field of four outstanding contestants and songs, the Jamaica based, veteran reggae singer, Garfield Goulbourne (aka Sir G.) captured the  2026 Award for Best IRAWMA Song with his sweet, steady and melodious song “IRAWMA Inna Wi Corna.”

The other three finalists  were Steven Cattouse and Valeda Williams with “IRAWMA Journey”, Gospel Gorilla (aka Lemoy Patterson) with “IRAWMA the Gospel” , and young, 12 years old, Jah Stone (aka Jhabane Buchanan) with “It’s 43 Years Since IRAWMA”

The annual IRAWMA Song Contest finalists, lyrics must  best tell the history and contributions of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) – Martin’s International over the last 43 years. The songs must average two minutes, no profanity and must be submitted in MP4 format. Once the finalists are selected and released, the voting will be on Youtube.com/irawma.  The IRAWMA Youtube subscribers will select the winner with their views, likes and comments. The one with the most likes, comments or views will be named the winner. The winner will walk away  with a trophy as the year’s IRAWMA Best Song, along with bragging rights. The winner and all finalists are encouraged to take or share  their songs with VP Records, and other record producers/distributors to take the song to a greater level.

 

Martin’s International is now preparing for its 44th IRAWMA, 2027, and prospective contestants can start developing their song for the 5th Annual IRAWMA Song Contest, and submit via a email to irawma@gmail.com and in the subject line say “2027 IRAWMA Song contest Submission”. Based on the number of entries we may have a quarter-final, semi-final and then the final.
