Some 150 nominees in 39 categories were named for the 41st International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), Reggae and World Music’s biggest night of honor on Thursday, January 25th at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The star-studded, IRAWMA with glitz and glamour takes place on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the prestigious Lauderhill Performing Art Center (LPAC), 3800 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, Fort Lauderdale, Florida with celebrity Red Carpet arrival starting at 7pm EST.
50 years of Martin’s International
Dr. Ephraim Martin, President & Producer of IRAWMA, who is celebrating his Golden 50th Anniversary in media, entertainment, and activism, said “This is our eighth hosting of IRAWMA here in South Florida, and following the success of our milestone IRAWMA in Jamaica last year, and by the request of the people here in Florida, Martin’s International is happy to say we are back! We have for over forty consecutive years, served as the only organization, honoring the best of reggae and world music’s best throughout the globe. We intend to uphold the integrity of IRAWMA by giving honors only where honors are due without compromise. This year we will be bestowing special honors to more than ten members of the music industry and/or to social justice activism.” Martin stated.
Best Song Contest
This year the IRAWMA song contest is on for the second year, and entertainers can submit a two-minute MP4 video that must make mention of IRAWMA’s contributions to the music industry over the years. The song must be emailed to irawma@gmail.com and copied to martinsinternational1982@
Although only in his sixties, founder Ephraim Martin is celebrating his Golden 50-year anniversary in Journalism, Entertainment, and Social Justice Activism, and this 41st IRAWMA is specially dedicated to him, and to Health Awareness. As a result, a free Health Advocacy Seminar will be held on March 21st, the eve of the IRAWMA at the same LPAC venue starting at 10 am and the free tickets can be secured at www.irawma.com.
